Community House Port Lincoln provide an incredibly valuable service to the most vulnerable and at-risk within the Port Lincoln community, but are facing uncertainty about the long-term arrangements within an SA Housing building where they’ve been for over 20 years.
I had to speak in Parliament directly about this issue, in conjunction with speaking to the Minister directly, and writing to her about this subject.
In speaking with the Minister about this situation, I am optimistic that a mutually acceptable solution can be found so this vital service can continue, especially at a time where the services are so needed.
I hope the government can show some compassion and common sense to work through this current state of affairs.
