As your member of Parliament, I believe that having reliable mobile phone coverage is essential for our regional communities, businesses and families.
On 28 October, Telstra and Optus switched off their 3G mobile networks.
Although this was a long time coming, and was delayed thanks to advocacy especially from regional communities, there are still many people who will be left without full mobile connectivity, just as there remains many black spots across the Eyre Peninsula when it comes to telephone coverage.
If you have a mobile coverage black spot in your community, or your coverage no longer works in an area where the 3G network used to work, please report it here.
With your help in identifying these black spots, I can be fully informed to advocate to both the Telcos and levels of government to properly address the situation, so our communities can access reliable communication services which form a basic necessity of modern life.
