Flinders State Liberal MP Sam Telfer is looking forward to the opportunity for the Eyre Peninsula to showcase what it has to offer when the Liberal Leader David Speirs and members of the Liberal shadow ministry visits the region on Wednesday 31 August through to Friday 2 September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Telfer said he was looking forward to building on the momentum of the recent EP Field Days in showing the potential for the region to his parliamentary colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Liberal Party has always recognised the value of the Eyre Peninsula to South Australia, but what we see as our blessing in being so far from the city can sometimes create challenges in being heard,\u201d Mr Telfer said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is why I am excited to give my colleagues the chance to engage with a range of key stakeholders from community and business, culminating in our community forum at Cleve.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe forum will give community members of the eastern Eyre Peninsula the chance to share their views about matters that directly affect them with the shadow cabinet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Telfer said this engagement with rural and regional community members and leaders, will bring state and local government representatives together in a unique opportunity to collaborate on projects and opportunities to bring great benefits to the Eyre Peninsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy engaging directly with the community, we can ensure the right projects and programs are put in place to help our region achieve its potential,\u201d Mr Telfer said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
