Patient Assistance Transport Scheme

Parliament recently discussed the importance of the Patient Assistance Transport Scheme (PATS) and improvements needed to the scheme to assist those living in rural and remote South Australia.

Too many people are being subjected to unfair financial burdens and difficult choices due to backlogs and problems within the system.

Some of the stories I have read are heart wrenching, and I took the opportunity to explain the the parliament why PATS needs to be urgently modernised for those of us who live well outside Adelaide.
